Happy Holidays From The Sumpter Tree Decorating Elves.........!
The Community Christmas Tree has become a favorite
local tradition here in Sumpter Oregon. Each year, local volunteers come together before the snow blankets the ground and the grass is still green.......and while the weather makes it hard to think Christmas is coming soon. The holiday season just wouldn't be the same without the great big Christmas Tree standing up at the Stage Stop decorated with unique ornaments made by local volunteers right here in Sumpter Oregon. The Sumpter Christmas Tree is usually decorated within a few weeks of Christmas but isn't lit up until the day of the Christmas Parade with a nice tree lighting ceremony. Thanks to all the volunteer elves who came out to help decorate the tree donated to the community from a secret source known only to Santa Claus himself.........
