The Cracker Creek Museum of Mining
was formed to preserve, interpret, and restore
the mining history which played such a major
role in the development (and the decline) of Sumpter, Oregon.........
The Cracker Creek Museum of Mining is an Open-Air Museum and is located on the
East (right) side of the highway, at the South
end of Sumpter. The Museum has a variety of
outdoor equipment displays. A group of
dedicated volunteers are working on future projects such as bringing the old Monighan
down to the museum as well as a number of
other exciting projects............
