Directions to Sumpter, Oregon!
Now that you have decided on a trip to Sumpter, we want to make sure you don't get lost! We hope these directions help! If you are traveling on I-84 from Boise or Portland, then be sure to take Exit 304 into Baker City! The picture below is what you will see as the Exit comes up on the Eastbound side. 
We know that not all of you are coming from the East.Some of you will be coming from the West. So............ We have a picture of your exit below too! If you are coming from the West, you will see the famous Baker Truck Corral sign straight in front of you and the Baker County Visitor Center to your right. No matter which direction brings you........... just be sure to take Exit 304! You will see State signs for the Geiser Grand and Baker City Center and Baker City Historic District. from both East and West directions. You will also see Highway 7 South on the signs. 
Here you can see your view if you take the Westbound Exit From this stop sign, just turn right and follow Campbell Street all the way to Main Street, then turn left. When you turn right at the exit, you will find a few fast food places, a mini-mart gas station, and motels. Check your tank because it will be another 30 miles before you reach Sumpter and more fuel! You will also see a Safeway on the left and an Albertsons on the right, as well as a Bi-Mart on the right. 
You will see the Baker County Visitor Center on the right whether you come from the West or East. You can make a quick stop for brochures, directions, etc. The staff is always helpful and they're nice too! visit them online: baker county visitor center The Visitor Center is a good place for a break if you need it! And.....a great spot for pictures too! 
If you're coming from the East, (Boise, Ontario, etc.) you will take Exit 304, then you will turn left at the stop sign and travel under the freeway.....then everything is the same! At the stop sign, you will see the Super 8 Motel as in the picture below. You will turn left here onto Campbell Street. 
Follow Campbell Street straight to the Corner of Main and Campbell Street - Turn left! You will see Papa Murphys on the right 
Campbell Street Whether you're Westbound Or Eastbound, once you're on Campbell St. just travel straight until you reach Main Street where you will take a left. This picture on the left is the view you will have where you will turn left! Then, no more worries! just look out for deer and enjoy the drive to Sumpter! See You In Sumpter, Oregon!
