1ST AND 3RD TUESDAYS EACH MONTH 7 pm at Sumpter City Hall Phone: 541-894-2314 Emergency Dispatch: Call 911 Always looking for new Volunteers! |
We are an all-Volunteer Department within the City of Sumpter. We depend on local Sumpter Resident Volunteers who freely give their time to help protect our Community. We depend on Grants, Donations, and Monies raised with fund raising events held throughout the year by the Ladies Auxiliary for our equipment and operating funds. Our Sumpter Volunteers come together twice each month to train and practice new techniques that keep them prepared to answer emergency calls. We are very proud of our Volunteer Fire Department and we invite the Citizens of Sumpter, Oregon to come to our meetings and get to know fellow residents who give so much of their time to help keep Sumpter safe! The Sumpter Fire Department Volunteers work throughout our community in many ways which include: fire prevention, granting fire burning permits, maintaining street signs and watering our streets during the flea markets and much more! You can even find the Fire Chief and calling numbers at Sumpter Bingo at the Sumpter Schoolhouse (Community Center) once a month through the Winter! They'd love to see you there! Our Sumpter Firefighters are always looking for new ways to lend a hand or to just better serve the Residents of Sumpter, so if you have ideas or suggestions, we invite you to attend one of the fire meetings............. or just send an email: info@sumpter.org If you need to contact the Fire Chief, please call City Hall at: 894-2314 |
