Mariland MacDonald of the sumpter valley blue mountain snowmobile club in sumpter oregon

The Sumpter Poker Run was a great success this year!
We were blessed with one of the best snow seasons in a long time but our true success each year depends on our Sumpter Volunteers and the great support we receive from our sponsors!
So, we would like to say THANKS!

VOLUNTEERS

Eastern Oregon snow is famous in both the majestic Elkhorn Mountains and the breathtaking Blue Mountains drawing snowmobilers from all over the Northwest to enjoy our Poker Run each year! While the snow brings them in, its our hardworking, dedicated volunteers within the club that make Sumpter snowmobiling truly a pleasure! Our volunteers work hard at grooming the snowmobile trails and so far this year have taken the Sno-Cat over 1800 miles ensuring our groomed trails were the best in Eastern Oregon!sumpter valley blue mountain snowmobile club officers announce poker run awards and door prizes in sumpter oregon
It is no fun to be out grooming all day or night not to mention being called out in the middle of a frigid night when the groomer breaks down! Much heartfelt appreciation goes out to out grooming crew! THANKS GUYS!
Another important job for our Poker Run is operating the card punch stations throughout Sumpter! It is no doubt hard to sit in one place all day punching cards to say nothing about missing all the fun out on the trails! Our volunteers do enjoy meeting the riders and helping them with their poker hands and getting to know these wonderful folks! A HUGE thankyou goes out to our station volunteers: Jack and Pam Barnes at the Elkhorn, Myrna and Al Clark at the Gold Post, Patsy and Ed Yarbro at the Depot Inn, Rod & Sharell Bloomquist at the Sumpter Nugget, Rod & Dee Isaacson at the Stage Stop, Ona and Mariland at the Sumpter School House and a special thanks to Glen Ferguson for traveling to Granite to man the station there. Good job folks!

SPONSORS

We would like to thank our local Sumpter Merchants who always graciously donate door prizes to the poker run! We also appreciate all the donations we received from Baker City and out of area merchants! Our club depends on these generous donations to continue operating the Sumpter Poker Run each year! We urge everyone who enjoys the poker run to please support our sponsors! Why not pay
our sponsors a visit and say thanks!
