Once Again Sumpter Residents Came Together To Usher
In The 2007 Holiday Season With the Sumpter Christmas Parade! The sun was shining, the streets were bare, and we even had a little snow to make the spirit bright for another great parade! This year's Christmas parade was led by Patrol Sgt Travis Ash of the Baker County Sheriff's Office and followed by our country's colors presented by the local Amvets organized by Carl Swinyer. Thanks Carl....................! Our Grand Marshal's this year were Neil and Marlene Bork. This year we were fortunate to have more guests watching the parade thanks to the 1st Annual Sumpter Valley Christmas Special train that was running the same weekend as our parade. Thanks to the SVRY for bringing more people to watch the parade than we have seen in Sumpter for quite some time! We would like to thank all those who came out for the Christmas Parade this year!
