Groomed Snowmobile Trails in Sumpter Oregon!
snocat snowmobile trail groomer in the shed
Sumpter Oregon is one of the premier snowmobiling
areas in Eastern Oregon with breathtaking mountain vistas, and incredible snowmobile trails winding through
the historic Elkhorn and Blue Mountain ranges stretching across two Oregon State Forest Ranges!
and thats not all folks.......
We have more than 350 miles of groomed trails in the Sumpter area! Thousands of snowmobilers come over to enjoy our famous snowmobile trails but few are aware
of what it takes to maintain such wonderful snowmobile trails! So who grooms all those snowmobile trails?
The Sumpter Valley Blue Mountain Snowmobile Club
of Sumpter Oregon, in cooperation with the Oregon State Forest Service, grooms and maintains
over 350 miles of the most popular snowmobile trails in Eastern Oregon and the Northwest!

The Tucker-Terra 2000 Snocat Trail Groomer was given to
the Sumpter Snowmobile Club in 2005 by the
Oregon State Snowmobile Association (OSSA). However,
fuel and maintenance and countless hours of time out on the trails are the responsiblity of the Sumpter Snowmobile Club.
Local club members, and local volunteers, give their time
and raise money through club fundraisers and the annual Sumpter Poker Run to cover expenses.
The Sumpter Snowmobile Club has a team of volunteers who take the Snocat out just about every day of the season
to keep all the snowmobile trails clean, safe, and enjoyable!
In addition to driving duties, volunteers also keep an eye out for obstructions on the trails such as fallen trees, rocks, etc.
