![]() maintain the snowmobile trails throughout our area-winter and summer...... The Club has a Sno Cat Groomer thanks to the OSSA and it is kept busy all winter making the trails safer and more fun! Club Members are very active all winter with meetings, potluck dinners, and lots of fun all leading up to the Annual Poker Run which is held on Presidents' Day Weekend each year. The Poker Run draws snowmobilers from all over Eastern Oregon and the Northwest! You don't even need a snowmobile to get in on the action! On New Years Eve the club puts on a bonfire, hot dog feed, and a night ride all to usher in the New Year-Sumpter Style! Meetings normally start in October and run through the final meeting of the snowmobile season in April. We encourage you to book your lodging early........Winter is very popular in Sumpter Oregon! Don't forget your snowshoes! is closed in the winter but the State Heritage Area surrounding the dredge is open year round! See the Historic Dredge on your snowmobile, skiis, or snowshoes all Winter! Take in breathtaking winter landscapes around the Dredge and in the State Park! Several park trails take off in different directions from the Sumpter Gold Dredge for snowshoers, hikers and cross-country skiers ~ and of course ~ snowmobilers! The State Park offers a unique adventure through the historic dredge pilings during the Winter which is home to local wildlife including beaver, muskrat and deer.
